T-Minus Runbook Templates

Purpose

The Clarity Transform T-Minus Templates screen holds the templates that T-Minus actions are grouped under. The on-screen subtitle reads: "Define reusable templates for grouping T-Minus actions by migration type."

A template is one of three linked T-Minus screens in Clarity:

The screen header is T-Minus Templates.

What you see

The templates are listed in the Template Library card.

Columns

  • Name
  • Description
  • Is Active
  • Sort Order
  • Notes
  • Created On
  • Last Updated By

The grid also has the hidden columns Id, Created By and Last Updated. Each row has a View Details row action (the eye icon).

Fields

The create form (Create new entry) has these fields. The edit form (Edit entry) has the same fields, filled in.

  • Name
  • Description
  • Is Active: a checkbox, unticked to start with.
  • Sort Order
  • Notes

The form footer has Cancel and Save.

Actions

The grid has the standard Clarity toolbar:

  • the add icon (tooltip Create New Governance Tminus Template), to create a template
  • Edit
  • Remove selected
  • Clear selection
  • Reload table data
  • Enable spreadsheet editing: edit values in the grid
  • Export CSV
  • Import CSV: opens the Import from CSV dialog, with Select CSV File and the buttons Cancel and Import

Each column has a filter row, and the grid has a Search: box and an entries per page selector (10, 25, 50 or All).

The grid remembers its Search: text, column filters, sort order and page size between visits. If the grid shows fewer rows than you expect, clear the Search: box and the filter row.

How to

Create a template

  1. Go to Governance → T-Minus Runbook Management → T-Minus Runbook Templates.
  2. Select the add icon (Create New Governance Tminus Template). The Create new entry form opens.
  3. Enter a Name and a Description, tick Is Active, and set a Sort Order if you need one.
  4. Select Save.

Add actions to a template

Actions are attached to a template from the action's side, not from this screen.

  1. Go to Governance → T-Minus Runbook Management → T-Minus Runbook Action Library.
  2. Create or edit an action. In its Template Name field, choose the template. The field takes more than one template.
  3. Select Save.
  • T-Minus Runbook Action Library: the actions, with their T Minus Offset, that are grouped under each template.
  • Events: where you apply a template to a migration event, by generating the event's runbook.
  • T-Minus Runbooks: runbooks generated for migration events, each with a Template Name.
  • Runbooks: the cut-over runbooks under Execute → Migration Operations → Runbooks, which are separate from T-Minus runbooks.
