T-Minus Runbook Action Library

Purpose

The Clarity Transform T-Minus Actions Library screen holds the reusable actions that T-Minus runbooks are built from. The on-screen subtitle reads: "Define reusable actions with T-offset values for building migration runbooks. Actions can be assigned to multiple templates."

The action library is one of three linked T-Minus screens in Clarity:

  • Each action's Template Name names a template from T-Minus Runbook Templates.
  • Each runbook on T-Minus Runbooks carries a Template Name. See that page for how runbooks are linked to migration events and how their task dates are calculated.

Where to find it

Governance → T-Minus Runbook Management → T-Minus Runbook Action Library

The screen header is T-Minus Actions Library.

What you see

The screen has two cards: T-Minus Offset Guide and Action Library.

T-Minus Offset Guide

The guide card explains the offset values, in days relative to the migration day:

  • T-7, T-3, T-1 (Before Migration): "Negative offset values indicate days before the migration event. Example: T-7 means 7 days before migration day."
  • T-0 (Migration Day): "Zero offset indicates the actual migration day. These are cutover activities."
  • T+1, T+2 (After Migration): "Positive offset values indicate days after migration. Example: T+1 means 1 day after migration for validation tasks."

The action form's T Minus Offset list offers 0 to -49 only, the list configured in Settings → Field Management → Dropdown Lists. A positive offset, as the guide card describes, can't be chosen in the form, although actions with offsets of 1 and 3 are in the lab data.

Columns

The Action Library card lists the actions:

  • Name
  • Template Name
  • Description
  • T Minus Offset: days before (negative) or after (positive) the migration day, as set out in the guide card
  • Category
  • Owner Role: holds role labels such as Migration Manager, Infrastructure Lead, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, App Owner or DBA
  • Sort Order

The grid also has the hidden columns T Minus Days, Id, Created By, Created On, Last Updated By and Last Updated. Each row has a View Details row action (the eye icon).

Fields

The create form (Create new entry) has these fields. The edit form (Edit entry) has the same fields, filled in.

  • Name
  • Template Name: a list of the T-Minus templates. You can choose more than one.
  • Description
  • T Minus Offset: 0 and -1 to -49.
  • Category: Communication, Technical, Testing, Documentation, Governance or Validation.
  • Owner Role
  • Sort Order
  • Action Type: Manual or Send Email.
  • Recipient Group: Event Update or Event Closure, the Project Directory groups that a Send Email action emails.
  • Email Template Name: the email template a Send Email action uses.

The form footer has Cancel and Save.

Values

  • Category: the values seen in the data are Planning, Technical Validation, Communication, Cutover Execution, Post-Migration and Technical. Most of them are not in the form's list.
  • T Minus Offset: the values seen in the data are -35, -30, -21, -14, -7, -3, -1, 0, 1 and 3.

Actions

The grid uses the standard Clarity toolbar: the add icon (tooltip Create New Governance Tminus Action), Edit, Remove selected, Clear selection, Reload table data, Enable spreadsheet editing, Export CSV and Import CSV.

Each column has a filter row, and the grid has a Search: box. The grid remembers its Search: text, column filters, sort order and page size between visits. If the grid shows fewer rows than you expect, clear the Search: box and the filter row.
