Overview

Purpose

The Governance Overview is the Clarity Transform screen that brings outstanding governance work from three registers into one list: the RAID Log, Actions and the T-Minus runbook tasks. The on-screen subtitle reads: "All outstanding governance work in one place across RAID, Actions, and T-Minus runbook tasks." The screen is read-only. Items are created and changed in their own registers.

Where to find it

Governance → Overview. The page header reads Governance Overview.

What you see

Cards

  • OUTSTANDING ITEMS: "Open governance work".
  • OVERDUE
  • T-MINUS
  • ACTIONS
  • RAID

OVERDUE, T-MINUS, ACTIONS and RAID each show their share of the total as "N% of open work".

The cards and the grid list outstanding work only.

Columns

The grid is titled Outstanding Governance Work and has these columns:

  • Source Area: the register the item comes from.
  • Work Type
  • Name
  • Event Name
  • Owner
  • Status
  • Due Date
  • Priority
  • Relative Due: the time to or past the due date, shown as "Overdue Nd", "Due in Nd" or "No due date", where N is a number of days.

Values

These are the values seen in the lab data for this build, not necessarily the full list.

  • Source Area: Actions, RAID, T-Minus
  • Work Type: Action, Assumption, Issue, Risk, Runbook Task, Dependency
  • Status: Open, In Progress, Not Started, Pending

Actions

The grid toolbar has a back arrow and Export CSV. The grid rows have no row actions.

Filters

  • Each column has a filter row.
  • A Search: box searches the grid.
  • The page-size selector offers 10, 25, 50 or All entries per page.

The grid remembers its Search: text, column filters, sort order and page size between visits. If the grid shows fewer rows than you expect, clear the Search: box and the filter row.

How to

See what is overdue

  1. Go to Governance → Overview.
  2. In the filter row of the Outstanding Governance Work grid, filter Relative Due to contain Overdue.
  3. To see one register only, also filter Source Area, for example to RAID.

Act on an item

  1. In the Outstanding Governance Work grid, if the item's Name is a link, select it to open the register it belongs to, for example the RAID Log or Actions, then find the item there. Otherwise, continue with the steps below.
  2. Note the item's Source Area and Name.
  3. Open the register for that Source Area:
    • RAID: Governance → RAID Log.
    • Actions: Governance → Actions.
    • T-Minus: Governance → T-Minus Runbook Management → T-Minus Runbooks. Tasks that are overdue or due in the next 5 days are on its Tasks Needing Attention tab.
  4. Find the item by its Name and change it there.

Export the list

  1. Filter the Outstanding Governance Work grid if you need to.
  2. Select Export CSV.
  • RAID Log: the register behind the RAID items.
  • Actions: the register behind the Actions items.
  • T-Minus Runbooks: the runbook tasks behind the T-Minus items.
