Planning Dashboard

Purpose

The Clarity Transform Planning Dashboard gives a summary of the migration estate's planning readiness. The page header is Migration Planning Dashboard, and its subtitle reads: "Planning readiness, gaps, and migration status across all CI classes".

It shows the key gaps: devices without move groups, devices not ready to migrate, missing migration status, and devices awaiting approval. The dashboard covers devices, applications, databases and container workloads.

Where to find it

Plan → Planning Dashboard

What you see

Cards

The summary cards:

  • DEVICES: with the number and percentage migrated ("N migrated (x%)").
  • APPLICATIONS
  • CONTAINERS: workloads in scope.
  • DATABASES

The gap cards, each shown as a percentage of devices ("% of N devices"):

  • NO MOVE GROUP
  • NOT READY
  • NO STATUS SET
  • NO APPROVAL

There is also a CONTAINERS - NO MOVE GROUP card.

Charts

The dashboard shows migration status, readiness and planning gaps in these charts:

  • Device Migration Status
  • Application Migration Status
  • Database Migration Status
  • Device Migration Readiness
  • Planning Gaps
  • Devices by Event
  • Move Group Distribution

How to

Find and close planning gaps

  1. Go to Plan → Planning Dashboard. The cards and charts load.
  2. Look at the percentage values for NO MOVE GROUP, NOT READY, NO STATUS SET and NO APPROVAL. The highest percentages show where the most planning work remains.
  3. Go to the relevant screen to address each gap: set the Move Group and Migration Status columns on Device records, and use Migration Readiness to investigate blockers on not-ready assets. To close NO MOVE GROUP in bulk, add assets from the move group's page (see Add assets to a move group), or use the Automation Wizard on Events, which places in-scope, unassigned devices into move groups.
  4. After your team works through a batch of assets, return to the dashboard to see the updated counts.
